Everyone 7 and up rides at our regular rates. You must call to book reservations for children under 7.
We take 5- and 6-year-olds on our trail rides with a guide that rides alongside the child, holding the lead rope of the child’s horse. There is an additional $55 charge for this dedicated guide, added to the base price of the tour you choose.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone under 5 on our trial rides. We do offer a lead-around/transport for 3- and 4-year-olds if your group books a waterfall ride. The child’s horse will be led from the ground by one of our employees for approximately 15 minutes. The little one and an adult will then be transported to our waterfall via UTV, so they can enjoy the swim and picnic/snacks portion of the activity with the rest of the party. There is a $38 charge for both the adult and the child, unless there is no lead-around, in which case it’s free for the child. The transport is also free for children under 3.
The date of birth of each participant is required on the Rider Agreement/Liability Waiver during the check-in process.

No. We use tall mounting blocks with steps to make it easier to get on the horse.
-
We leave this decision to medical-care professionals. We require all participants who have medical issues to consult their physician to determine if riding a horse or swimming at the waterfall is appropriate.
-
Please give us a call if you have a disability. We do require that all riders be able to get on the horse unassisted with the use of a mounting block. If your group books a waterfall ride, we offer transport by UTV to our waterfall so non-riders can enjoy the swim and picnic/snacks portion of the tour.

Our only requirement is closed-toed shoes. We have a limited selection of shoes and boots that you are welcome to wear (please bring socks).
We recommend long pants. Capris and long board shorts are also comfortable. Shorts are permitted.
We have changing huts at the waterfall where you can change into and out of swimwear. We also transport all your items to the waterfall for you, including swimwear and towels. The only personal item we recommend you take on the horse is a camera if you want to take pictures. However, if you have medically necessary items (inhaler, Epi-Pen, medicine) we will provide a saddle-horn bag for you.
We provide raincoats and helmets. Helmets are required for children under 15 and highly recommended for everyone else.

No problem! Our trusty horses know their jobs well. Your trail guide will give a safety/instructional demo before you mount the horse. The demo will cover how to get on and off your horse, as well as how to get your horse to go, stop, and turn.
Our group tours are kept to a sightseeing, walking pace. This makes it appropriate for riders of all skill levels. Experienced riders can check out our private-ride options.
-
Each of our tours are offered with a private option. On our private rides, you will be able to pick up the pace, including trotting and cantering/loping. This will be at the discretion of your tour guide, based on the ability of all riders on the tour and the trail conditions.
Because private rides cost more, we urge you to consider the riding ability of each rider in your party. Being herd animals, all the horses will go at the same pace. We wouldn’t want you to pay extra for a private ride, only to have you limited to a walking pace because of a novice in your party. However, if your goal in booking a private ride is for exclusivity, then the added cost might still be worth it.

All three of our tours start with a safety/instructional demo. This generally takes about five minutes. Mounting and dismounting also takes a bit of time. Rest of the tour is spent on horseback or at the waterfall.
Our 1.5-hour Hawaiian Discovery Ride is non-stop horseback riding.
On the 2-hour Silver Falls Ride, you’ll generally spend about 50 to 55 minutes in the saddle and approximately 50 minutes at the waterfall where you can enjoy a waterfall swim and snacks & refreshments.
The 3-hour Tropical Trail Adventure includes approximately an hour and 45 minutes of horseback riding and about an hour enjoying the waterfall swim and picnic lunch.

We provide raincoats! Our tours go out rain or shine. The north shore of Kauai is very green for a reason: lots of rain. However, we cancel tours if there are severe storm conditions.
